Thanks for the information! I quickly put together a desktop application, which allows you to quickly drag and drop an image into the app and get back a URL that you can paste in an IM window, email, Reddit, Digg, etc. It also keeps track of upload history while giving the ability to delete your images from Imgur’s servers.

I am interested in it for a long time! I realized I should support the guy who created Imgur by sending people to the image page instead of the image itself so he would get some ad traffic. Anyway in the next update, users will be able to choose whether to copy the image or page URL. You choose whether you want to support Alan or not

I support imgur with $ via subscription. Isn't that a more intelligent form of support, than the otherwise-understandable but slightly insulting imposed inefficiency ? I've always thought the "and now a word from our sponsors" model was a bit cheesy and peculiar...

Hecka need an Imgur version of ImageShack Uploader. Thought I'd found one ;(

With the recent release of a public API, I quickly put together a desktop application, which allows you to quickly drag and drop an image into the app and get back a URL that you can paste in an IM window, email, Reddit, Digg, etc. It also keeps track of upload history while giving the ability to delete your images from Imgur’s servers.

I am interested in it for a long time! The Imgur API does not support accounts yet. I'm pretty sure Alan is working on it. On a related note, I've been getting quite a number of feature requests. Will find time to update the app.
